Owen Hizzey was born into a motorsport family and began karting at the age of five, competing in local events before moving into the Honda Clubman and later the Honda Cadet Championships with Evolution Racing. From 2014 to 2017, he stepped up to senior karting in the Junior Subaru Championship, claiming numerous wins and podiums and ultimately securing the 2016/17 Championship title. In 2018, Owen transitioned into car racing, joining the Junior Saloon Car Championship. Running as privateers and without driver coaching to manage budget, he and his team delivered multiple fastest laps and podiums, finishing inside the top four in the overall standings. He then progressed into the Ginetta G40 Cup, achieving multiple wins, podiums, and a top-three Championship finish. This success led him into the Ginetta GT5 Championship, while simultaneously competing in historic racing in an MGB for a family friend — earning strong results in both categories. During this period, he also began building his professional driver-coaching career. In 2022, Owen partnered with a gentleman driver in the Britcar Trophy Championship in a Ginetta G56 GTA. Together they secured numerous wins, podiums, fastest laps, and ultimately the Championship title. The following season, he moved into the British Endurance Championship, racing a Ginetta GT4 Supercup car with another client, achieving multiple class wins, fastest laps, and another Championship victory. Across 2024–2025, Owen has been competing in the Creventic 24H Series and the GT Cup in the UK. With extensive racing experience and proven coaching credentials, he is the ideal teammate for Michael Orant. Entering the final round of the British GT Championship at Donington Park, the pair secured an impressive P3 finish in their maiden outing with MKH Racing. Together, they are set to be formidable contenders heading into the 2026 season.
